Local boys look forward to Rochdale Feel Good Festival
Rod Wilson & Lee Howson, trumpet players and original members of the Northern Soultrain are heading back to their home town of Rochdale to play on the main stage at the Feel Good Festival on Saturday 10th August.
As Northern Soul music and dancing hit it’s peek in the early 70’s, these young lads were starting their musical careers, playing in local youth Brass Bands, Rochdale Metropolitan Band & Kingsway Youth Band. Nearly 45 years later they will take the stage with their band mates of The Northern SoulTrain to bring some of the most iconic Northern Soul anthems to Rochdale.
Rod comments, “this will be a very special event for me, playing with this great band to the good people of my hometown, Rochdale. I hope everyone enjoys our music and that the weather is kind.”
The Northern SoulTrain will be on the main stage around 5.45pm.
